This
program is designed to give consumers a fast, secure way to allow
medical personnel to access medical records in an emergency. In
non-crisis situations, consumers can use the card to keep their
records updated, transfer records to new doctors or specialists,
and store and access their Advance Directives, such as Living Wills
and Health Care Proxies.
Medifile customers carry credit card style identification with simple
access instructions so that they or their care givers can instantly
obtain vital health information. All Medifile subscribers have access
to Medifile's toll free emergency line which is attended 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.
The Medifile staff is professionally trained in the legal and procedural
issues relating to confidentiality and disclosure of medical information.
A unique account number and personal identification number (PIN)
is assigned to each member to ensure all information is properly
and safely released.
